slam!

“Hahaha… life has never been boring with him around!” watching Topaz running away with his tail between his legs, Arthan couldn't help but laugh in amusement. 

He is amused to see Topaz ridiculous behaviour not in accordance with his age, and he was also amused at himself for acting childish following Topaz.

"Still, yucks! Now he will be my boss!” whines Arthan in grins, he seems don't like it, but he also got an idea for pranking his new boss.

“hehehe...emm--” 

After imagining how he would happily torment his new boss, and then the real boss of his new boss appeared, the whole picture suddenly fell apart.

Arthan smile disappears, and his face becomes all serious; the matter of his current situation floods back into his mind.

Five years have passed since the last time Arthan has seen his family. 

When he can't meet them, he feels empty, as if his life is useless. And now that he could see them again, Arthan didn't know what to do.

Whomp! Whomp!

Out of a sudden, Arthan punches both of his cheeks to get his mind out of gloomy loops.

"No point in overthinking this! Five years is a long, long time. Anything can change for the better or worse. 

All I can do is improvise and live with reality. At least my beginning point is much better than when on earth.”

There's nothing more stupid than challenging 'Time' in 'Hide and seek' games. 

First, you will never win. Second, you will still find yourself in the same crossroads after the games. And in conclusion, only idiots want to waste their life on it.

Deciding to face whatever God has in store for him. Arthan got out of bed and put on a handyman suit to officially work as a handyman. 

The handyman suit looks like the western farmer suit, consisting of a thick white shirt and bib overalls.

The difference between the two are the material is made of very thick wool and not denim, and the colour design is a gradient of brown instead of monotone blue.

As for the practical characteristics, these bib overalls are the same as the Earth one, where it has two large pockets on either side of the waist, several tool loops for various tools, and a large pocket on the belly like Doraemon.

“Water magic - Water ball,” mutter Arthan lazily, his hand covered in faint light blue mist as he made some gestures according to the spell requirement.

Arthan had done extensive research on the level-one spell 'Water ball' to become offensive means, but in the end, he gave up and deemed it as a useless struggle since the water ball is too conspicuous and slow.

That's why every time Arthan casts a water ball; Arthan looks lazy, considering that he only uses this spell as support or for amusement.

As Arthan casts his spell, he can see a spinning light blue wheel that hovers right above his hand. This wheel-like thing is a caster wheel. It merely can be seen by the spellcaster who cast a spell.

The wheel has ten sections, and eight of them are glowing in a light blue light, which is the source of the light blue color, while the other two are dim. 

The light blue glow meant Arthan was casting water element, as for the eight sections is the signs that Arthan merely did the casting 80% correct, and the water ball will only appear in its 80% quality.

In no time, a bowling ball-sized water ball appears and hover in front of Arthan.

The surface of the water ball seems so smooth and solid, yet the water ball actually was as soft as gummy at the touch. 

Arthan then uses the water ball as a mirror and checks whether his clothes and black ears-length hair are neat.

“Trick or treat! I'm ready to plow your land, sir!” joked Arthan, smilingly in front of the water ball, like he will go around his neighbourhood asking for candies on Halloween.

Finished changing clothes, Arthan put on a big brown cloak to hide his body and exit the room.

Creak

“Hahaha...howdy, James!” as Arthan was about to close the door, he suddenly heard Topaz talking to someone in the corridor.

From his laughs, Arthan could tell that he was relieved to meet him. Though, when Topaz hugged the middle-aged man, he called James, Arthan was flabbergasted for a second.

Topaz that Arthan knows is like the 9-5 salaryman on the Earth who have many faces. 

‘But bear hugging someone is…too much out of his of character…’

In his working time or with his colleagues, Topaz would wear a reliable and reserved image, and only with Arthan, Topaz will be himself and acts playful.

'Looks like… I've trained him a little bit too hard…' thought Arthan guiltily.

Topaz seemed to notice his blunder too, and their conversation became awkward. 

Needing a way out, Topaz changed their topic to an introduction about Arthan and wiggles his hand to summon Arthan.

"I'm not your dog! Buffoon!" mouthed Arthan without sound as an act of revenge for what Topaz did in the room.

Topaz and James talks became more awkward because of Arthan action, and with a loud sound of awkward laughs, they then part away. 

Seeing the way they parted, Arthan couldn't help but laugh, "hehehe...how funny. They hug like bears when they meet, and when parting, they are like cat and mouse doesn’t see eye to eye! What a two willy old fox!"

Topaz speedily closes in and knocks lightly at Arthan head. 

“Funny, isn't it! What makes you so slow? Are you a snail?” Topaz asked irritably. 

“By all means, yes! it was so funny, uncle! Couldn't you see what kind of face you made after hugging that bald man? It was…marvellous!” tease Arthan. 

“Tch… who do you think that made me look like an idiot, huh? Shall I tell you what I been through because of you?” threats Topaz, who crouch slightly to look right into Arthan's eyes.

“Ehem… “ Arthan eyes guiltily keep escaping Topaz eyes, “Better we go! Y-Yes! It-It's already noon! We hav-"

Clack!

Before Arthan can change the direction of the topic, Topaz knock once again landed on his head. This time it was a heavy one. Full of Topaz pent up emotions.

"Don't change the topic, willy young fox!" scoffs Topaz with an annoying smile.
